Getting a Japan Tourist Visa from Korea (for foreign residents in Korea)

What is the most important requirement when applying for a Japan Tourist Visa? If you are living in Korea, with a valid visa and an alien card or ARC, then you can easily apply for a Japan Tourist Visa. Without this valid residency, it is impossible for you to get a visa for another country and you'll be advised to go back to your home country, instead.
Here is the list of the things you need to take with you to the embassy.
1. Passport
2. Visa Application Form (1 copy). Get the form here.
3. 1 Passport Photo (taken within six months)
4. Flight Booking Confirmation. If you need assistance for flights and promo, click a legit travel agency here.
5. Hotel Booking Confirmation. If you need assistance for reservation only, and not paying directly to the hotel, click a legit travel agency here.
6. Proof of Sufficient Funds to cover all your expenses while in Japan. You can submit any of the following below:
- Income Certificate
- Recent Bank Statements of the last 3 months
7. Itinerary during stay in Japan. Here is the sample.
8. If you are applying with dependents, Korean dependents, or as a dependent of a foreign worker in Korea, you should submit:
- Alien Resident Card of your sponsor (1 photocopy).
- Proof of Marriage or Marriage Certificate (1 photocopy).

After the submitting the documents, you should receive a piece of paper that asked to follow an instruction when finding out about the status of your visa, receiving it, and/or submitting additional documents as per requested by the embassy. Also, you they will give you a small piece of paper with your 8 digit application number.
